The revised student activity text focuses on Greek and Latin roots, prefixes, and suffixes; on words deriving from them; and on analogies and synonyms. An expanded analogies section corresponds to the increased emphasis on such questions in the NewSAT.
The teacher book now gives more material on suffixes and three reproducible units—Specialized Vocabulary, Foreign Expressions, and 100 Special Words—for expanding students' vocabulary program if desired. Quizzes and tests for all sections of the activity text and the supplemental units, complete answer keys, and additional information on a number of topics are included.
