Teaches strategies for writing in the “real world”
Students practice basic writing skills and learn strategies for dealing with writing found in day-to-day life, including:
Activity sheets use realistic print found in everyday life. Each unit begins with a lesson plan that includes unit objectives, teaching strategies, and plans for incorporating extension activities and assessment into the unit. Numerous activity sheets follow each lesson plan, allowing for extensive individual practice. Activity sheets feature realistic graphics that are identical to print seen in the real world. Each unit includes an assessment to measure student learning. Question formats include matching, short answer, multiple choice, true/false, and fill-in-the-blank.
